What would be a really weird thing to have for dinner on a camping trip?

We’re going on a camping trip and we need to think of something really weird to have for dinner. We’ll have access to a camp stove and we won’t have to carry food far so weight doesn’t matter.

We just want something really weird or a weird combo to have. Any suggestions?

You can have shrimp or some kind of pasta meal. Or everyone can have big salads. Or chicken. Or ribs or steak.
squirrel
filet magon would be weird. thats more formal, you know?
the food that i wouldnt expect to encounter on a camping trip is sweet and sour chicken with fried rice.
Have you thought about making a nice lasagna, in a dutch oven??
You could always take a second dutch oven and bake a cake in the second one.
How about cardboard pizza?
Or microwave popcorn.
Witchty Grubs if you’re down under or yabbies/fresh cray fish
caught and thrown into a billy of boiling water.
Velveeta shells and cheese.
take a fishing pole and catch your own sushi
Something wierd for camping.. I agree with the pasta theme for the main course, and maybe make a fresh baked cake for desert!
The oddest thing I’ve ever had was when we brought live lobsters- in the wilderness. It was a lot of effort, but was worth it, just to make us laugh, years later. We even brought a huge watermelon, and nearly broke our backs, portaging it over 6 portages
If you have a lot of people and since weight is not a problem, why not roast a pig? Somebody has to keep turning the spit and feeding the fire all day, but the results are fantastic!
Ha, I used to take one of those small canned hams (2-3 lbs.) and just let it simmer in water until hot. Also bring some canned potatoes and corn to sautee together in butter and eat with the ham, yum yum. Never seen anyone else backpacking that had a great ham dinner like mine miles away from everything!
(also used to take chinese food, the MSG preserves it well)
Fish tacos and pork enchiladas
Sasquatch steaks grilled over a willow fire, followed up by some ice cold swamp water.
For dessert, some steamed salamander tails. Im talkin DEEEELISH!
We like to smoke a deer ham. For sides we have Greene beans and potatoes, and home made baked bread.Good Luck on the Trip.
if you find any road kill on your way there pick it up and take it for your dinner,no point wasting all that good meat
