take no more than 2-3 gallons because of space and a chance you might not keep them cold the whole time, whenever we went camping we only took as much as we could drink in one day and if we needed more we went to the store or just did without</description>

Ha, I used to take one of those small canned hams (2-3 lbs.) and just let it simmer in water until hot.  Also bring some canned potatoes and corn to sautee together in butter and eat with the ham, yum yum.  Never seen anyone else backpacking that had a great ham dinner like mine miles away from everything!
(also used to take chinese food, the MSG preserves it well)</description>

If you have a lot of people and since weight is not a problem, why not roast a pig?  Somebody has to keep turning the spit and feeding the fire all day, but the results are fantastic!</description>

Start with good beans, that are fresh roasted.  I personally home roast my coffee beans.  Buy a good stainless steel moka pot.  It is an Italian stove top coffee maker.  It is going to make an almost espresso style coffee.  Otherwise you can heat the water and use a French Press, or pour through a cone filter.</description>
